I came across a great wedding story in the newspaper that I want to share with you. A couple (names to be withheld) had a unique idea for what could be called a piggyback wedding. They chose a holiday when the people they cared about most would be gathering for a celebratory dinner. The home had been festively decorated, the guests were stylishly attired. Everyone was in good spirits.

Choosing favors for your guests can be a daunting task. What will you give them that really says, "thank you for sharing this important day with us" without spending a fortune? Also, when you’re planning a green wedding, ordering 200 plastic bell-shaped trinkets with your initials printed on the side doesn’t make sense. What can you give your guests that won’t end up in the garbage the day after your wedding? Give them something that will end up in their mouths instead!
As we all know, food is a complicated issue in today’s world. If you were an "Everybody Loves Raymond" fan, you probably remember Robert’s wedding to Amy, when the minister said, "If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace," and Robert’s mother Marie took the shocked minister up on his offer to speak her mind, much to everyone’s horror. How common is this outside of TV and movies? Not very - but it does happen. I live by a simple principle: "Expect nothing. Be ready for anything."
