  • Instead of being introduced for the first time & walking into the reception in typical fashion, we have decided to ride in on a motorcycle wearing "shades." We know it's going to be a real photo opportunity!!!

  • After our immediate family photos, we're doing our "extended family" -Instead of traditional bridal/groom's party photos, we'll be lining up with all of our co-ed fraternity siblings- his chapter, my chapter, and each of the other chapters that we're close to. Of course, we'll be holding the school and fraternity banners!

  • We're doing a lot of different photography ideas. I commissioned a painting of my husband and I based on our engagement photos that will be displayed at the wedding, that is also a surprise gift to him. I'm wearing a short white dress with a red petticoat showing at the bottom. All 3 of my neices (3,4 and 6) will be wearing red petticoats as skirts to match. We're riding away on bicycles. When we enter the reception we'll be breaking through a huge "just married" banner like football players do on the field. We should get some fun shots!

  • We are taking out wedding party photos out on a HUGE rock area right by the Inlet, as well as taking tons of Shots on the RailRoad tracks, my fiance works for the railroad, so its kinda a personal thing. By far my favorite fun photo will be of me and my girls lifting our dresses up a little with our flowers in hand, so you can see our snow boots we will be wearing! I cannot wait see all of our happiest moments captured forever!

  • We are doing a bunch of different things, one I'm most excited about is that we are getting a photo "stand-in"- (those retro carnival stand-ups that have painted people on it in a pose with a hole for your face), so all of our guests can have some fun of their own with photos

  • We getting married at the university where we met. Our plans are to hit up our old hangouts in our wedding garb with the photographer in toe. It will be a great chance to get photos of us in the places we know and love while celebrating the beginning of our new life.

  • We are using our engagement photos to create fans that are also the programs for our outdoors, garden ceremony. We are excited for our wedding party photos because 3 sets out of 4 of our parties are now married (or soon to be married) after having met through us!

  • Seeing how both my hubby to be and I have full sleeve tattoos amongst others that alone will create some interesting photos! I plan to wear boots of some sort under my traditional gown with over the knee socks and we are doing a woodland theme.

  • We are getting married on Lake Michigan, near Travrse City, in early Septmeber. I'm having kelley green dresses with bright orange flowers. There are long whispy weeds near the beach, so i'm going to have a few black and white photos taken where the orange and green of the flowers with be highlighted as well as the green in the weeds and with the waves rushing in the background will make for the most beautiful photos. In addition, as the sunsets, our photographer will take a silhouette photo of my husband and I as the sun is going down over the lake in the background...it will be prefect! (as long as it isnt raining *fingers crossed*)

  • This is a second wedding for both of us which means we want it to be fun! Neither of us enjoyed our first weddings as much as we could have. This time, we also have our two kids who will be there. We are planning to exchange wedding rings between the two of us, and family rings with the kids. We would love to have that moment captured using Wax Works' techniques.

  • We're getting married in December and the Christmas tree will be up in the church. I want a photo of is with the tree, maybe with me sitting under the tree reaching up to him. He gave me my engagement ring while I was sitting under the tree wrapping presents last year so, it will be a perfect picture for us.

  • A few years ago, for my birthday, my fiance folded me a thousand paper cranes - so I could get a special wish. It took him months to do, but he finally accomplished it and surprised me by placing them all over my apartment. I want a wedding photo of me in my gown, surrounded by my paper cranes - yes! I still have them all!

  • I have always invisioned the photo being taken at a sideways angle with the photographer on the ground and us from the second story balcony of the 1800's house the reception will be at.

  • I love pictures because they just capture every moment that I am never going to want to forget. It is going to be so fabulous to look back years from now and to be able to see the wonderful day that we shared with our closest family and friends.
    My goal for the photographer at the wedding is to capture every moment in the best, most unique ways.

  • Our colors are green, pink, and black. We have many photos with green and pink elements in them such as us throwing pink petals in the air. For the reception we are going to take all the pictures and turn them to black and white except the green or pink elements. All the pictures will be different and be hung by clothes pins on string and on tables in the card holders, since we won’t be having numbers. Guests will also be able to take home the pictures.
    It’s an idea I thought would be fun and unique. We will see how it turns out.

  • My fiance is a HUGE baseball fan. He played since he was 5 up until he graduated from college. Now he coaches high school baseball- STATE CHAMPS BABY! ANYWAY, because he loves it so much, we plan to go to a local baseball field after the cermony and take pictures together on the field. Him as the catcher with the mask and chest pads, and me as the batter with a helmet and bat. We would also like the party to all participate in a game of baseball in our dresses and suits and have a blast having a million photo ops during that. I wish June was already here!

  • We are having our wedding in Mexico, but we will be offically married in our hometown before we leave. My fiance's best friend will be preforming the ceremony because we feel like it will make the ceremony special and intimate.

  • Our reception site in on a lake and the sun sets directly behind it. While taking pictures at sunset my "hubby" and I will be holding up 2 signs that read Thank You. Our photographer is going to turn this picture into our thank you cards.

  • This picture is just for me. At the reception I want to take a picture with my oncologist, nurses, and all the staff that work at the clinic. It won't be anything silly or creative, but I want to have something written in later that says "thank you for saving my life." What a better way to help say thank you to those that cured my cancer and allowed me be around to fall in love!

  • I am a chinese and we believe that each marriage is tied by a red string by our god. Thus, we prepare some red strings and tied ourselves up with different posses. We put all this posses to form a story and put the story board near the reception of our wedding.

  • We're getting married on the beach, so we plan on taking tons of fun shots. I'd like for my husband to climb a palm tree and get a coconut while I'm watching with a look of wonder on my face at his "tarzan" qualities!

  • Palm trees are an important part of our lives and marriage. We got engaged under a palm tree, we will be walking down an aisle that is flanked on both sides by palm trees. We plan on having a photograph where we stand under the palm holding the fronds around us in a heart shape.
    I also plan on doing a trash the dress session at the beach.

  • Well being a photographer myself, I would like creative pictures. Some traditional but I like the photojournalistic approach. I like simple details. Maybe a portrait shot of me looking over my shoulder showing my earrings and how I wear my hair.

  • We really want our photos to be more than the typical wedding photos. We want photos that signify who we are. My fiance and I have flown kites together every year since we've been together. We're planning on taking kite pictures and maybe letting helium ballons go. Something very creative and more to look at than just our faces.

  • We are going to hang black and white photos of ourselves, both together and throughout our lives, by fishing string. We are being married in a botanical garden and when you first walk in to our wedding area there is a huge shaded arbor (big enough to seat our 150 guests under) and we plan to hang the pictures at varying heights along the entrance side of the arbor behind the back row.

  • I think the most unusual photo we have of our daughter's wedding is a groomsman passing a coke can behind the wedding party's back to the bride. The ceremony was long and she ask him to get her a coke. The videographer was standing behind the party as pictures were being taken and got the coke commercial. We love it.

  • We are trying to track down as many family wedding photos as we can to display at our reception. At the reception we're planning on taking our own photos in the same poses as family members before to create fun parallels for scrapbooking later.

  • We are celebrating 25 years. Didn't have a budget for an expensive photographer. Looked on the internet for a photographer by the hour, and came up with a guy for 40.00 an hour.
    
    10 hours is 400.00 dollars no matter how many pictures are taken. 5 hours would only be 200.00. For those of you who just cant pony up a couple of thousand but want a professional, this might be a good idea. Good luck!

  • We took our Engagement pics ourselves and I LOvE them! I'm a photographer by trade already. It is not easy to decide who will take my photographs at first - since I know so many creative people. Although, many of them are in the bridal party. One thing I know that we will do is at the end of the ceremony I'm going to pull out a small digital and take at least one pic myself! I have planned with my main photographer to be sure to document this. We also will be doing a black and white vintage photo booth at the reception.
