Bachelorette Party Tips

Looking to host or have the BEST bachelorette party out there? Here are a few fail safe tips.

1. Plan - A Bachelorette party is best when you plan in advance. Set aside a few hours and put some thought into organizing this bash. My advice is to choose a theme and if not a theme a color- Choose an idea that connects to the bride-to-be. Create a bachelorette party wish list! She’ll love it and it will make her girls night out even more memorable.

2. Dress - Dress her up! From a quick glace everyone should know who the lucky lady is. And dress your bachelorette guests too- get feather boas or candy necklaces for everyone in the party. There are lots of inexpensive things you can do. Make buttons for the guests and a t-shirt for the bride-to-be with a logo you design! Or if you prefer not to buy anything or have anything made ask your guests to all wear one color.

3. Play Games - Do some research on the internet. There are tons of resources for bachelorette ideas and easy to play low cost games. One of my favorites is the scavenger hunt! And get everyone involved either in the playing or in making up questions.

4. Have Prizes - They do not need to be big but we gals love competition and you’d be surprised what you’ll do for a ring pop or some other wrapped mystery package.

5. Be Daring - Buy those "male private parts" shaped ice cube trays! Or better yet cake pan! They are silly but guaranteed laughs and if you are worried about what someone will say, usually letting them know what you are planning and that it is all in good fun does the trick!

6. Pictures - Chances are your bride-to-be will not have her camera on her! And even if she does this is her night to be anything but responsible. Have someone in the group take pictures of the fun so that you can all enjoy them afterwards.

7. Be Respectful - You shouldn’t ask your bride-to- be to do anything that is likely to make her feel uncomfortable. If pasting lifesavers to a t-shirt is not her idea of fun, do something else instead. Check out Gretchen’s post on Sexy without the Sin!

8. Chip-In - I suggest asking guests of the party to buy whatever kind of fun gift they like but then asking each person to donate a bit of money, even if it’s just $5. For very little money you can get your bride- to- be some lingerie that she can wear the night of her wedding! She’ll be so thankful and it will be something that she can treasure forever.

9. Lastly consult an Expert - Wishpot has a great bachelorette wedding expert at your disposal! Check her profile and get some fun ideas for the party!
